If you haven’t been to an auction before, watch the video below for some great insight as to what happens when you arrive and find out how to register for an auction. Different auctions will have slightly different requirements, but this video will show you that with a little preparation in advance, in terms of making sure that you have the necessary identification, funds etc. with you that this is a pain free process!
Given the current economic position, government auctions provide members of the public (that’s you and me!) with a great chance of finding that car, boat, motorcycle, truck etc. that we want for a great bargain. Don’t make the mistake, that some people make and think it is all too complicated. It is easy really as you will see in the video!

Car dealers buy a lot of stock at car acutions and mark it up. Auctions such as the Baltimore Car Auctions in this video happen all over the country and if you can find them or better again if you go to a government auction selling repossessed cars, government surplus vehicles and goods, you can walk away with a really good used car at a steal (legally of course!)
There are services that provide comprehensive auction listings to give you the best opportunity of finding the right vehicle or property at the right price. Some of these services cost a few dollars but you can get a free trial of one of the best services available here.
This video is for those that think you can only get old rust, buckets at auctions – this couldn’t be further from the truth. There are a lot of late model reposssessed cars for sale at auctions and you will find lots of ex government vehicles that are only two or three years old, often with low mileage at government auctions. You might even find a Lambourghini or two!
